Discovery

Information Architecture

The project team conducts research and creates deliverables such as site maps, navigation schemes, and content inventories to help define the overall structure and organization of the website. Typically, this includes a review of the information and deliverables from the Discovery phase, such as the project plan, wireframes, and user flows.

Design

The design team, which typically includes graphic designers and user experience designers, will work closely with the project stakeholders and development team to ensure that the design meets the project’s goals and requirements.

Coding

Led by the development team, which may include web developers, programmers, and software engineers. During this phase, the team will use programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various web development frameworks to create the functionalities and features specified in the project’s requirements.

Testing, Review and Launch

The final stage of the project, where the website or application is put through a series of tests to ensure that it meets all the requirements and functions as expected. The testing process may include unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing to identify and fix any bugs or issues.

Maintenance

The Maintenance phase of a web development project is focused on keeping the website or application running smoothly after its launch. This includes tasks such as monitoring the website or application for any issues, troubleshooting and resolving any problems that arise, and updating the website or application with new features and functionalities.
